CHIPPEWA FALLS, Wis. — Law enforcement in Wisconsin have launched a homicide investigation after discovering the body of a 10-year-old girl near a walking trail Monday.
Police arrested a juvenile suspect that knew Iliana Peters, who went by the name Lily, they announced Tuesday evening.
During a Tuesday news conference, Chippewa Falls Police Chief Matthew Kelm didn’t provide the age or sex of the suspect, whether the suspect was related to Lily or where the arrest occurred. He said there was no longer any danger to the public.
